It's been a year since we last checked in on TechBeacon, the contributed content site produced by HP Enterprise. If you haven't pitched a contributor yet, it's time. "We're accepting applications but only a select few will be added at this stage," says a notice on the web site.
A veteran IT editor wrote to remind us that some publications flag contributed and sponsored content more clearly than others. In this InfoWorld example, the author's identity is not seen until the bottom of the article. By contrast, in this Huffington Post example, readers see that the author works for Apigee before they begin reading.
Former TechCrunch and ReadWriteWeb reporter Alex Williams is set to launch The New Stack, a blog analyzing trends in "enterprise startups, developer communities, the DevOps movement and the business models that encompass this new world."
